2CV strengthens leadership with a round of promotions

Consumer and B2B researcher 2CV has celebrated a series of promotions, showcasing the talent within its ranks. Among the notable promotions are Chris Oatey and Jon Smetherham, who have been elevated to the positions of Regional Directors. In their new roles, Oatey and Smetherham will spearhead the Asia team from the company’s Singapore office.

Additionally, Kar Hoo Lee has been promoted to the role of Associate Director of Data Services, while Abigail Plank has been named Associate Director. These promotions underscore 2CV’s commitment to recognizing and nurturing talent within the organization.

Chris Oatey brings over five years of experience to his new role, having previously served as an Associate Director and Research Director. Prior to joining 2CV, Oatey held strategic positions at Vivid Interface and Hall & Partners.

Jon Smetherham, who joined 2CV in August 2022, boasts a diverse background in research, with previous stints at Engine, Future Thinking, and Blackbox Research, as well as experience in the UK civil service.

Kar Hoo Lee’s promotion to Associate Director of Data Services recognizes his significant contributions over the past five years, focusing on implementing Python scripts and leveraging his expertise in programming and data analysis.

Abigail Plank’s journey at 2CV began in 2017 as a Digital Research Executive. Her ascent through the ranks underscores her expertise in qual digital methods, including online communities and auto-ethnography, culminating in her promotion to Associate Director.
